In a world with a jillion recipe web sites, why one more? Good question.
Fact is, this was not my intent at all in the beginning, which was many years ago. I was just a devoted "foodie" and home cook with a disorganized collection of recipes on index cards and stained looseleaf sheets. It was difficult to share recipes with friends and family let alone find the recipe I wanted!
Computers are a natural for organizing information, and I knew how to use them from work. So my recipes slowly migrated to digital format and I saw that it was good. I could easily share recipes by printing or emailing them.
Be forewarned. This is not a fancy, glitzy recipe site like you may be used to. Few photos, really basic formatting, and that's it! But I think there are some gems here that are worth a bit of extra effort on your part.
Well, one thing led to another. Being of an organizational disposition I soon wanted to have my recipes organized and accessible by keyword, ingredients, and so on, and why not put it on the web too? This entailed a good bit of work, but I would bring my laptop into the kitchen and get a bit of writing done during breaks in cooking. Downside? My keyboard got really yucky!
So here you go, I hope you'll find something you like.
And why not have a look at my Kitchen Myths blog where I debunk a lot of commonly believed kitchen myths?
